BERKELEY BROWN
Berkeley Brown is a jewellery designer and goldsmith based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She graduated from NSCAD University in 2009 with a major in jewellery design and metalsmithing. After graduating, Berkeley moved to Glasgow, Scotland where she completed an artist in residency at the Glasgow School of Art and gained professional experience working for a local jewellery designer and gallery. This gave her a strong foundation in custom goldsmithing, a passion she’s carried into her studio practice and business.
In addition to custom goldsmithing, Berkeley creates intricate one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by her love of jewellery’s potential for precise movement and interaction. Clean lines and spots of colour combine with handmade connections, tiny rivets and hinges, to create kinetic jewellery.
Berkeley has exhibited nationally and internationally and has work in the Nova Scotia Art Bank.
